Craft: flag
For a simple, eye-catching display, showcase several of these flags with the poem shown.
Materials for one flag:
- silver adhesive stars
- construction paper for the painting and for backing it
- washable red, white, and blue paint in shallow containers
- paintbrush
- glue
Steps:
- Brush blue paint on the thumb and palm of one hand. Brush red and white paint on alternating fingers as shown.
- Make a handprint on a piece of construction paper. Let it dry.
- Put adhesive stars on the blue paint print.
- Glue the painting on different-colored paper to frame it.
